Antique French foil backed rose cut diamond conversion solitaire gold tiny ring.

I found this ring in France.

From with the double wavy petals and thin wavy carved design,
I thought there is a possibility that this jewelry is from Arles in the south of France.
The majority of Arles jewelry has diamonds,
I heard that the Arles diamond has an outstanding sparkle and having high transparency.


This rose cut diamond is thin as other diamonds from in first to middle 19th century,
but this has strong transparency and sparkle well.
And when you see this diamond carefully,
you can recognise that under this diamond, has gold foil.
So totally, very rare piece, I hope you can enjoy this beauty with all kind of lights.

I'll let this ring go with reasonable price because there is one reason.
I think it's non made for ring. Some conversion with some piece came from
like earring or from more big jewellery.
So wearing as ring, just in my opinion, but not so confortabile..
That's why it reasonable price.
I'd like you to think about it before you purchase.

The diamond has natural inclusions,
no scratches on the surface of the stone.

Size - G1/2 (UK)
It can be resized by your local jeweller.

Central diamond - around 2.5mm x 4.5mm


Dimension - 1.27mm x 1.45mm

Weight - 2.5g

The diamonds are carefully tested by gem tester.

I can arrange for a gemological certificate by appraisal company located in Firenze
if you would like.
It need an extra charge for this service.
Also it will take some more time for the results of the report.

The box in the pictures is not included, only for display.

All of the antique/vintage ring should be worn with special care,
I strongly recommend you that is not for everyday wear, for special occasions.
Especially with the diamonds with closed back setting,
avoid water as moisture can damage the delicate foil backing.
